Chapter One: Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
The integration of mobile applications in event management has transformed the way events are planned, executed, and experienced. In Potiskum Local Government Area, mobile apps are increasingly being adopted to streamline ticketing, enhance attendee engagement, and provide real-time updates. These applications improve accessibility and convenience, fostering a more interactive and personalized event experience. According to Umar and Ibrahim (2023), mobile technology bridges communication gaps and enhances event efficiency. This study assesses the role of mobile applications in enhancing the event experience in Potiskum LGA, highlighting their benefits and challenges.
