Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Environmental degradation, particularly deforestation, is a growing concern in Yola North LGA, Adamawa State. Public Relations (PR) has emerged as a key tool in mobilizing communities for environmental restoration efforts such as tree planting campaigns. By fostering partnerships with community leaders, leveraging media platforms, and creating compelling narratives, PR can engage local populations to participate actively in environmental conservation. These efforts not only combat deforestation but also contribute to climate resilience and sustainable development.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the increasing threats of deforestation in Yola North LGA, public participation in tree planting initiatives remains low due to a lack of awareness and motivation.
