Public relations (PR) serves as an essential tool in fostering effective communication, transparency, and trust between government organizations and the public. In Sokoto North LGA, PR practices are employed to disseminate government policies, address public grievances, and promote citizen engagement. With the increasing demand for accountability and efficiency in governance, PR strategies such as media relations, public consultations, and social media campaigns have become central to enhancing the image and operations of government organizations (Usman & Ahmed, 2023). This study investigates the role of PR in government organizations, focusing on its effectiveness in bridging communication gaps and fostering public trust.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the significance of PR in governance, its practices in Sokoto North LGA face several challenges, including inadequate resources, poor media relations, and a lack of skilled PR practitioners.
