Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Grassroots journalism, characterized by community-focused reporting, has become increasingly significant in election monitoring, particularly in rural areas like Doma LGA, Nasarawa State. Elections in Nigeria often face challenges such as voter suppression, electoral violence, and irregularities, which undermine democratic processes.
