Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Event planning is a complex process that requires a deep understanding of audience preferences, logistical needs, and anticipated challenges to ensure success. Pre-event surveys, as a key tool for gathering insights, play an essential role in aligning event objectives with attendee expectations. These surveys provide actionable data on various aspects, such as preferred event themes, suitable venues, and audience engagement strategies. In the context of Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, where events range from cultural festivals to corporate gatherings, the use of pre-event surveys remains underexplored despite their potential to significantly enhance event outcomes.
