Background of the Study
Healthcare financing is a critical component of sustainable development, particularly in rural areas like Baruten Local Government Area (LGA) in Kwara State. Budgetary allocation practices directly impact the availability and quality of healthcare services provided to residents. Efficient allocation ensures adequate funding for essential services, while poor practices lead to underfunded healthcare systems, inadequate infrastructure, and poor health outcomes. In Baruten LGA, the challenges of healthcare financing are compounded by limited resources, population growth, and competing demands on public funds. This study evaluates the effectiveness of budgetary allocation practices in addressing these challenges and improving healthcare financing in Baruten LGA.
