Background of the Study
Auditing plays a vital role in monitoring revenue collection processes, particularly in local governments where the efficient collection of revenue is key to funding public services and infrastructure. In Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, revenue collection is central to the financial health of the government, yet there have been challenges related to mismanagement, underreporting, and inefficiencies. Statement of the Problem
