Background of the Study
Financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, investing, and understanding financial products. In rural areas like Kaura Namoda LGA, financial literacy is often limited, which hampers the growth of local entrepreneurship. This study explores the role of financial literacy in enhancing rural entrepreneurship, focusing on how it can empower entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills necessary for managing their finances and growing their businesses.

Statement of the Problem
Rural entrepreneurs in Kaura Namoda LGA often struggle with managing their finances due to limited financial literacy. This lack of understanding can lead to poor financial decisions, inefficient use of resources, and ultimately, business failure. This study aims to examine the role of financial literacy in improving the financial management and success of rural entrepreneurs.

Aim and Objectives of the Study
The aim of this study is to assess the role of financial literacy in enhancing rural entrepreneurship in Kaura Namoda LGA. The specific objectives are:

  1. To evaluate the level of financial literacy among rural entrepreneurs in Kaura Namoda LGA.

  3. What strategies can be implemented to enhance financial literacy among rural entrepreneurs in Kaura Namoda LGA?

Research Hypotheses

  1. Rural entrepreneurs with higher levels of financial literacy make better financial management decisions and experience greater business success.
  2. Lack of financial literacy contributes to poor financial management practices and low business sustainability in rural entrepreneurship.
  3. Increasing financial literacy among rural entrepreneurs will lead to improved financial management and entrepreneurship outcomes.

Significance of the Study
This study will provide valuable insights into the role of financial literacy in rural entrepreneurship, offering recommendations for enhancing financial education and improving business outcomes for rural entrepreneurs in Kaura Namoda LGA.

Scope and Limitation of the Study
The study will focus on rural entrepreneurs in Kaura Namoda LGA and may not be applicable to other regions or types of businesses. Limitations may include challenges in assessing the financial literacy levels of participants due to varying definitions of literacy and local context.
