Background of the Study

In Shendam Local Government Area, various government-funded programs aim to enhance infrastructure, healthcare, and education in rural areas. However, auditing these programs faces significant challenges, particularly in ensuring proper fund utilization, monitoring progress, and detecting inefficiencies. This study seeks to examine the challenges auditors encounter when auditing rural development programs in Shendam.
