Abstract: This research investigates the impact of gamification on adult learning engagement, focusing on how game-based learning strategies influence adult education. The objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of gamification in enhancing learner motivation and engagement, to identify key elements that contribute to successful gamification in adult education, and to assess the challenges faced in implementing gamified learning. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from participants engaged in gamified learning programs, offering detailed insights into their experiences. A sample size of 250 adult learners was selected for this study. The purposive sampling technique was employed to target individuals who have experienced gamified learning. The case study was conducted in Delta, Nigeria, where gamification is increasingly adopted in educational settings. Findings revealed that gamification significantly improved learner engagement, motivation, and academic performance by making learning more interactive and enjoyable. However, challenges such as resource constraints and the need for specialized training for educators were noted. The study recommended investing in training for educators on gamification techniques and providing adequate resources to support gamified learning environments.
