Abstract: This research examines the impact of adult education on financial independence, focusing on how educational programs for adults influence financial literacy and self-sufficiency. The objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of adult education in improving financial management skills, to assess the impact on participants' ability to achieve financial independence, and to identify the challenges faced by adults in accessing financial education. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from participants involved in financial literacy programs, offering detailed insights into their experiences. A sample size of 250 adult learners was selected for this study. The purposive sampling technique was employed to target individuals who have participated in financial education initiatives. The case study was conducted in Abuja, Nigeria, where financial education is increasingly prioritized. Findings revealed that adult education significantly improved financial literacy and management skills, leading to greater financial independence among participants. However, challenges such as accessibility and relevance of educational content were noted. The study recommended expanding financial education programs and tailoring content to meet the specific needs of adult learners.
