Abstract: This research explores the impact of adult education on public health initiatives, focusing on how educational programs enhance public health awareness and practices among adult learners. The objectives were to evaluate the role of adult education in promoting public health, to identify specific public health topics effectively addressed through adult education, and to assess the challenges faced by educators and learners in public health education programs. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from participants involved in public health education, offering detailed insights into their experiences. A sample size of 350 adult learners was selected for this study. The purposive sampling technique was employed to target individuals actively participating in public health initiatives. The case study was conducted in Delta, Nigeria, where public health education is crucial for addressing health challenges. Findings revealed that adult education significantly improved public health awareness and practices, leading to better health outcomes. However, challenges such as limited access to educational materials and resource constraints were noted. The study recommended increasing funding for public health education programs and expanding access to educational resources.
