Abstract: This research investigates the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in enhancing adult education. The study aimed to explore how the integration of ICT tools and resources affects the effectiveness and accessibility of adult education programs. The objectives were to assess the impact of ICT on learner engagement and educational outcomes, to evaluate the effectiveness of various ICT tools in adult education, and to identify challenges and benefits associated with ICT use. A survey research design was employed to gather data from adult learners and educators using ICT in their programs, providing a comprehensive analysis of its impact. A sample size of 300 participants, including both learners and educators, was selected to ensure a broad perspective on ICT integration. The purposive sampling technique was used to focus on individuals actively involved in ICT-enhanced education. The case study was conducted in Lagos, Nigeria, where ICT tools are increasingly incorporated into adult education. Findings indicated that ICT significantly enhanced learner engagement and educational outcomes by providing more flexible and interactive learning opportunities, though challenges such as technological limitations and digital literacy were noted. The study recommended expanding ICT infrastructure and training to improve the effectiveness of ICT in adult education.
