Abstract: This research explores the impact of adult education on sustainable livelihoods. The study aimed to examine how adult education contributes to improving economic stability and sustainability for individuals and communities. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of adult education in enhancing livelihood opportunities, to evaluate its impact on economic resilience and sustainability, and to identify the key educational components that support sustainable livelihoods. A survey research design was employed to collect data from participants in adult education programs focused on livelihood development, as it allows for a detailed analysis of educational impacts on economic outcomes. A sample size of 290 participants involved in such programs was selected to provide comprehensive insights. The purposive sampling technique was used to focus on individuals directly benefiting from livelihood-focused adult education. The case study was conducted in Delta, Nigeria, where adult education programs have targeted livelihood improvements. Findings indicated that adult education significantly improved economic stability and sustainability by providing skills and knowledge necessary for sustainable livelihood practices. The study recommended increasing the integration of livelihood-focused content in adult education programs and enhancing support for practical application of learned skills.
