Abstract: This research explores the impact of adult education on reducing social inequality. The study aimed to examine how adult education programs contribute to addressing social disparities and promoting equality. The objectives were to assess the role of adult education in improving socio-economic outcomes, to evaluate its effectiveness in bridging social gaps, and to identify strategies for enhancing its impact on social inequality. A survey research design was employed to gather data from adult learners and program administrators, as it provides a comprehensive understanding of the effects of adult education on social inequality. A sample size of 280 participants from various adult education programs was selected to ensure diverse insights. The purposive sampling technique was used to focus on individuals and programs with a clear focus on social equality. The case study was conducted in Ogun, Nigeria, where adult education initiatives have targeted socially disadvantaged groups. Findings indicated that adult education significantly contributed to reducing social inequality by improving economic opportunities and promoting social inclusion. The study recommended expanding adult education programs to further address social disparities and enhance support for underrepresented groups.
