Abstract: This research examines the impact of e-learning on adult education in Nigeria. The study aimed to investigate how the adoption of e-learning platforms affects adult learners' participation, learning outcomes, and overall educational experience. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of e-learning in enhancing access to education, to evaluate its impact on learner engagement and academic performance, and to identify the challenges and benefits of e-learning for adult learners. A survey research design was utilized to collect data from adult learners using e-learning platforms, as it allows for an in-depth analysis of e-learning impacts. A sample size of 300 adult learners engaged in e-learning programs was selected to provide a broad perspective on the use of digital learning tools. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals who have actively participated in e-learning. The case study focused on e-learning initiatives in Enugu, Nigeria, where digital education tools have been increasingly adopted. Findings revealed that e-learning significantly enhanced access to education and learner engagement but also presented challenges such as technical issues and limited digital literacy. The study recommended improving technical support and providing training to increase digital literacy among adult learners.
