Abstract: This research examines the impact of adult education on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The study aimed to explore how adult education programs support the achievement of SDGs and contribute to sustainable development. The objectives were to assess the role of adult education in advancing specific SDGs, to evaluate its impact on community and environmental sustainability, and to identify effective strategies for integrating SDGs into adult education curricula. A survey research design was employed to gather data from adult education programs with a focus on SDGs, as it provides a comprehensive view of educational contributions to sustainability. A sample size of 280 participants from SDG-oriented adult education programs was selected to ensure diverse insights. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals involved in adult education addressing SDGs. The case study focused on SDG initiatives in Abuja, Nigeria. Findings revealed that adult education played a crucial role in advancing several SDGs, including education quality and environmental sustainability. The study recommended integrating SDGs more deeply into adult education curricula and expanding programs that focus on sustainable development.
