Abstract: This research explores the impact of online learning platforms on adult education. The study aimed to examine how online learning platforms influence the accessibility, effectiveness, and engagement of adult education programs. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of online platforms in delivering educational content, to evaluate the impact on learner engagement and satisfaction, and to identify the challenges and benefits associated with online learning. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from users of online learning platforms, as it allows for a comprehensive analysis of user experiences and outcomes. A sample size of 320 adult learners using online platforms was selected to capture diverse perspectives. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals actively engaged in online learning. The case study focused on online learning experiences in Lagos, Nigeria. Findings indicated that online learning platforms greatly enhanced accessibility and flexibility for adult learners, though challenges such as technical issues and limited interaction were noted. The study recommended improving online platform features and support services to maximize their effectiveness and user satisfaction.
