Abstract: THE IMPACT OF LOGISTICS NETWORK DESIGN ON SUPPLY CHAIN EFFICIENCY
The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of logistics network design on supply chain efficiency, focusing on its effects on transportation costs, delivery speed, and overall operational efficiency. A survey design is employed for its ability to gather quantitative data from a broad range of respondents. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 320 respondents is calculated to ensure statistical significance. The case study is conducted in Kano, focusing on a retail company with a well-optimized logistics network. The reliability coefficient score of 0.87 indicates high reliability. Findings suggest that an effective logistics network design significantly enhances supply chain efficiency by reducing transportation costs, improving delivery speed, and increasing overall operational efficiency. Recommendations include regularly reviewing and optimizing logistics network design to sustain supply chain efficiency.
