Abstract: THE INFLUENCE OF TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT ON LOGISTICS COSTS
This study examines the influence of transportation management on logistics costs, focusing on its impact on cost reduction, delivery efficiency, and overall logistics performance. A survey design is selected for its ability to gather quantitative data from a large sample. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 310 respondents is determined to ensure statistical significance. The case study is based in Abuja, focusing on a logistics company with a comprehensive transportation management system. The reliability coefficient score of 0.86 confirms the survey's reliability. Findings indicate that effective transportation management significantly reduces logistics costs and enhances delivery efficiency. Recommendations include investing in advanced transportation management systems and optimizing transportation routes to reduce costs.
