Abstract : THE ROLE OF LOGISTICS IN GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS
This study aims to explore the role of logistics in global supply chain operations, focusing on its impact on operational efficiency, delivery speed, and cost management. The survey design is selected for its effectiveness in collecting quantitative data from a broad range of participants. A sample size of 350 respondents is determined using Taro Yamane's formula, ensuring an adequate representation of the target population. The case study is conducted in Port Harcourt, focusing on a multinational logistics company. With a reliability coefficient score of 0.90, the survey demonstrates high reliability. Findings indicate that logistics play a crucial role in enhancing global supply chain operations, leading to improved efficiency, faster delivery times, and better cost management. Recommendations include investing in logistics infrastructure and adopting innovative technologies to optimize global supply chain operations.
