The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 30 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings revealed that the effects of covid 19 on the tourism sector is that it reduced number of travelers to resort centres, the travel restriction limited the number of foreigners that visit resort centres, loss of revenue, and drop in ticket sales and reservations for international routes. The findings also revealed that the different social and economic activities that were affected by covid-19 is that; it reduced number of tourists that visit us, it led to staff turn-over, it led to low patronage, and it increased unemployment rate.
