THE INFLUENCE OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ON RISK MANAGEMENT
The study aims to: (1) analyze the impact of digital transformation on risk management, (2) identify key digital tools that enhance risk assessment and mitigation, and (3) evaluate the benefits of digital risk management strategies. A survey design was chosen for its ability to capture insights from risk management professionals. The sample size, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula, included 380 respondents from financial institutions in Abuja, ensuring comprehensive insights. The financial sector was chosen for its high exposure to risks and extensive use of digital tools. The reliability coefficient score of the survey was 0.88. Findings indicate that digital transformation significantly enhances risk management by providing more accurate, efficient, and proactive risk assessment and mitigation processes. Recommendations include investing in advanced risk management tools, fostering a culture of risk awareness, and continuously monitoring and optimizing risk management strategies to enhance resilience.
