Abstract: THE IMPACT OF REAL-TIME ANALYTICS ON BUSINESS OPERATIONS

This study aims to assess the impact of real-time analytics on enhancing operational agility and decision-making effectiveness within organizations. The objectives include examining how real-time data processing, analysis, and visualization enable organizations to respond swiftly to market changes, customer demands, and operational disruptions. A survey research design is employed to gather quantitative data from 250 participants using the Taro Yamane formula to ensure a statistically significant sample. The case study focuses on a retail chain in Kaduna, Nigeria, known for its agile operational strategies supported by real-time analytics solutions. The reliability coefficient score, measured through internal consistency checks, is 0.89, indicating strong reliability of the research findings. Findings indicate that real-time analytics empower organizations to gain actionable insights instantly, optimize supply chain management, and improve operational efficiency. The study recommends that businesses invest in scalable real-time analytics platforms, integrate data from IoT devices and sensors, and foster a data-driven culture to capitalize on real-time insights and maintain competitive advantage in dynamic business environments.
