Abstract: THE ROLE OF BUSINESS ANALYTICS IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
This study aims to explore the role of business analytics in enhancing human resource management practices and workforce performance within organizations. The objectives include assessing how analytics tools and techniques contribute to talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance evaluation. A survey research design is employed to gather quantitative data from 250 participants using the Taro Yamane formula to ensure a statistically significant sample. The case study focuses on a healthcare organization in Uyo, Nigeria, recognized for its strategic use of HR analytics to optimize workforce planning and development. The reliability coefficient score, measured through internal consistency checks, is 0.88, indicating strong reliability of the research findings. Findings indicate that business analytics enable HR professionals to make data-driven decisions, improve recruitment strategies, and enhance employee retention initiatives. The study recommends that organizations integrate analytics into HR processes, leverage predictive analytics for workforce forecasting, and invest in training HR professionals on data analysis skills to foster a culture of continuous improvement and talent management excellence.
