THE ROLE OF BUSINESS ANALYTICS IN SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION
This study aims to examine the role of business analytics in optimizing supply chain management practices within organizations. The objectives include exploring how analytics tools improve supply chain visibility, demand forecasting accuracy, and inventory management efficiency. A survey research design is employed to gather quantitative data from 250 participants using the Taro Yamane formula to ensure a statistically significant sample. The case study focuses on a logistics company in Owerri, Nigeria, recognized for its advanced supply chain analytics capabilities. The reliability coefficient score, assessed through internal consistency measures, is 0.88, indicating high reliability of the research findings. Findings indicate that business analytics play a crucial role in enhancing supply chain performance by enabling real-time data analysis, predictive modeling, and strategic decision-making. The study recommends that organizations invest in integrated analytics platforms, foster collaboration between supply chain stakeholders, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize operational processes and achieve competitive advantage in dynamic markets.
