THE INFLUENCE OF DATA VISUALIZATION ON BUSINESS ANALYTICS

This study investigates the influence of data visualization techniques on enhancing the effectiveness of business analytics. The objectives include examining how visual representations of data improve decision-making, facilitate insights discovery, and enhance communication within organizations. A survey research design is adopted to gather quantitative data from 200 participants across various industries, chosen using the Taro Yamane formula to ensure a representative sample. The case study focuses on a retail chain in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, known for its innovative use of data visualization tools. The reliability coefficient score, assessed through internal consistency measures, is 0.89, indicating high reliability of the research instrument. Findings suggest that effective data visualization techniques significantly enhance the interpretability and usability of analytics insights, thereby improving decision-making and operational efficiency. The study recommends that organizations invest in user-friendly data visualization tools, provide training on data interpretation techniques, and integrate visual analytics into organizational decision-making processes to maximize their benefits.
