ABSTRACT: THE INFLUENCE OF CULTURAL FACTORS ON INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS OPERATIONS
The study’s objectives are to: 1) identify key cultural factors influencing international business operations; 2) assess the impact of cultural differences on communication and negotiation; and 3) evaluate strategies for managing cultural diversity. A survey research design is employed to gather comprehensive data. A sample size of 320 participants, including international business managers, is calculated using Taro Yamane’s formula. Lagos, a major international business hub, is selected as the case study location. The survey achieves a reliability coefficient score of 0.87. Results indicate that cultural factors significantly impact communication, negotiation, and overall business operations in international settings. Effective management of cultural diversity enhances business success. The study recommends that businesses implement cultural training programs and develop strategies to navigate cultural differences effectively.
