THE INFLUENCE OF CULTURAL COMPETENCE ON ADMINISTRATIVE PERFORMANCE

Abstract: This study examines the influence of cultural competence on administrative performance, focusing on the role of understanding and managing cultural diversity in enhancing administrative tasks. A survey research design was employed, involving a sample size of 360 participants from an international NGO in Abuja, determined using Taro Yamane’s formula. The survey’s reliability coefficient score was 0.89, indicating high reliability. Results indicate that strong cultural competence significantly improves administrative performance by fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment. The study recommends regular cultural competence training and initiatives to enhance awareness and sensitivity towards cultural diversity in administrative roles.
