THE ROLE OF DETAIL ORIENTATION IN ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS
Abstract: This study explores the role of detail orientation in performing administrative tasks effectively, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and attention to detail. A survey research design was utilized, involving a sample size of 350 participants from an accounting firm in Port Harcourt, determined using Taro Yamane’s formula. The survey instrument’s reliability coefficient score was 0.87, indicating high reliability. Findings suggest that strong detail orientation is crucial for administrative success, leading to higher accuracy and reduced errors in tasks. The study recommends ongoing training in detail-oriented practices and the implementation of quality control measures to enhance administrative performance.
