THE INFLUENCE OF INTERPERSONAL SKILLS ON ADMINISTRATIVE EFFECTIVENESS
Abstract: This study aims to examine the influence of interpersonal skills on administrative effectiveness, focusing on the role of strong interpersonal relationships in enhancing administrative functions. The research design is a survey, chosen for its ability to gather diverse and comprehensive data. A sample size of 360 administrative staff from a hospitality business in Kaduna was calculated using Taro Yamane’s formula. The survey instrument’s reliability coefficient score was 0.89, indicating high reliability. Results indicate that strong interpersonal skills are vital for administrative effectiveness, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The study recommends regular training in interpersonal skills to enhance team dynamics and administrative performance.
