Abstract: THE INFLUENCE OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE POLICIES ON INVESTOR CONFIDENCE
This research explores the influence of corporate governance policies on investor confidence. Objectives include identifying key corporate governance policies, assessing their impact on investor trust, and evaluating their role in attracting investments. A survey design is chosen for its ability to collect comprehensive data from investors and financial analysts. The sample size, determined using Taro Yamane's formula, includes 340 respondents, ensuring statistical reliability. The study focuses on the financial services sector in Lagos, a key area for investment activities. The reliability coefficient score for the survey instrument is 0.87, indicating high reliability. Results indicate that robust corporate governance policies significantly enhance investor confidence by ensuring transparency and accountability. The study recommends that companies should strengthen their corporate governance frameworks to attract and retain investors.
