Abstract: THE INFLUENCE OF WORK-LIFE BALANCE POLICIES ON EMPLOYEE RETENTION

The study investigates the influence of work-life balance policies on employee retention. Objectives include identifying effective work-life balance policies, assessing their impact on employee satisfaction, and evaluating their contribution to retention rates. A survey design is utilized for its ability to gather comprehensive data from diverse employee groups. The sample size, determined using Taro Yamane's formula, includes 350 respondents, ensuring statistical reliability. The research focuses on the IT sector in Lagos, known for its demanding work environment. The reliability coefficient score for the survey instrument is 0.88, indicating high reliability. Findings reveal that well-implemented work-life balance policies significantly enhance employee retention by improving satisfaction and reducing burnout. The study recommends that organizations should prioritize work-life balance to retain top talent and maintain productivity.
