Abstract: THE IMPACT OF HUMAN RESOURCE POLICIES ON EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION
This research aims to assess the impact of human resource (HR) policies on employee satisfaction. Objectives include identifying key HR policies that influence satisfaction, evaluating their effectiveness, and exploring their impact on employee retention and productivity. A survey design is selected for its ability to collect comprehensive data across different employee groups. The sample size, determined using Taro Yamane's formula, includes 390 respondents, ensuring a 95% confidence level. The study focuses on the banking sector in Lagos, a major hub for HR practices. The reliability coefficient score for the survey is 0.88, indicating high reliability. Findings show that well-structured HR policies significantly enhance employee satisfaction, leading to higher retention rates and productivity. The study recommends that organizations should continuously review and update their HR policies to meet the evolving needs of their workforce.
