Abstract: This research explores the role of project leadership in achieving project success, with objectives to: 1) assess the impact of different leadership styles on project outcomes, 2) evaluate the importance of leadership skills in project management, and 3) recommend strategies for developing effective project leaders. A survey design was chosen to collect data from project managers and team members. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 350 respondents was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The study was conducted in the construction sector in Ogun, where strong leadership is critical. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument was 0.87, indicating high reliability. Findings revealed that transformational and situational leadership styles significantly enhance project success by fostering motivation, innovation, and adaptability. Recommendations include investing in leadership development programs, promoting leadership skills as a core competency, and providing continuous support and mentorship for project leaders.
