Abstract: This research explores the role of project management tools in improving project outcomes, with objectives to: 1) assess the effectiveness of various project management tools, 2) determine the impact of tool integration on project efficiency, and 3) identify the challenges in implementing these tools. A survey design was chosen to enable comprehensive data collection from a diverse set of project managers and team members. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 350 respondents was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The study was conducted in the IT sector in Lagos, where technology plays a pivotal role in project management. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument was 0.89, indicating high reliability. The findings highlighted that tools like Microsoft Project, Trello, and Jira significantly enhance project tracking, collaboration, and efficiency. It is recommended that organizations invest in training for these tools and promote their integration into daily project activities to maximize benefits and improve project outcomes.
