THE INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP STYLES ON ORGANIZATIONAL INNOVATION

This research investigates the influence of leadership styles on organizational innovation. Objectives are: (1) to assess the impact of various leadership styles on innovation processes, (2) to analyze the relationship between leadership and creative thinking, and (3) to identify best practices for fostering innovation. A survey design is chosen for its ability to provide quantitative insights from numerous respondents. Using Taro Yamane's formula, the sample size is 340, ensuring accuracy and reliability. The study focuses on the technology sector in Lagos, Nigeria, where innovation is critical. The reliability coefficient score is 0.88, indicating high consistency. Findings reveal that transformational and participative leadership styles significantly enhance organizational innovation, promoting a culture of creativity and continuous improvement. Recommendations include implementing leadership development programs that focus on fostering innovation and promoting a culture of creative thinking to enhance organizational innovation.
