THE ROLE OF CHARISMATIC LEADERSHIP IN MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES

This study explores the role of charismatic leadership in motivating employees. Objectives include: (1) evaluating the impact of charismatic leadership on employee motivation, (2) analyzing the relationship between charisma and team dynamics, and (3) identifying key charismatic practices that enhance motivation. A survey design is employed to gather data from a broad population. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 320 is derived, ensuring comprehensive coverage. The case study focuses on the entertainment industry in Lagos, Nigeria, where charisma plays a significant role. The reliability coefficient score is 0.85, indicating high reliability. Findings show that charismatic leadership significantly boosts employee motivation and team dynamics, with leaders who exhibit confidence, vision, and enthusiasm being particularly effective. Recommendations include developing charismatic leadership qualities in managers to enhance employee motivation and overall performance.
