THE ROLE OF SALES LEADERSHIP IN DRIVING TEAM PERFORMANCE
This study investigates the role of sales leadership in driving team performance. Objectives include: (1) assessing the impact of leadership styles on sales team productivity, (2) identifying key leadership qualities that enhance team performance, and (3) analyzing the relationship between leadership and employee motivation. A survey design is employed to capture a wide range of responses. Using Taro Yamane's formula, the sample size is 350, ensuring comprehensive coverage. The study is conducted in the financial services industry in Abuja, Nigeria. The reliability coefficient score is 0.87, indicating robust measurement consistency. Findings demonstrate that effective sales leadership significantly boosts team performance, with transformational leadership being particularly impactful. Recommendations include providing leadership training programs and fostering a supportive and motivating work environment to enhance team performance.
