Abstract: THE INFLUENCE OF TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ON EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION
Objective: This study aims to (1) investigate the impact of technological advancements on employee motivation, (2) identify key technological innovations that enhance motivation, and (3) assess the long-term effects of technology on organizational performance.
Research Design: A survey design was selected to collect detailed feedback from employees regarding their experiences with technological advancements and its impact on motivation.
Sample Size: Utilizing Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 360 employees was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error.
Case Study: The research focused on the telecommunications sector, where technology plays a crucial role in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Location: Lagos, a major telecommunications hub with a dynamic workforce.
Reliability Coefficient Score: The survey instrument had a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.88, indicating high reliability.
Findings: Technological advancements, such as automation, artificial intelligence, and digital tools, significantly enhance employee motivation by streamlining processes, increasing efficiency, and improving job satisfaction. Employees equipped with modern technology demonstrated higher levels of productivity and engagement.
