Abstract: THE INFLUENCE OF ORGANIZATIONAL JUSTICE ON EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION

Objective: This study aims to (1) investigate the relationship between organizational justice and employee motivation, (2) identify key elements of organizational justice that enhance motivation, and (3) assess the impact of perceived fairness on employee satisfaction and performance.

Research Design: A survey design was chosen to collect comprehensive data from employees about their perceptions of organizational justice and its impact on motivation.

Sample Size: According to Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 380 employees was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error.

Case Study: The research was conducted in the legal sector, where fairness and equity are critical for employee satisfaction and performance.

Location: Lagos, a major legal center with a diverse legal workforce.

Reliability Coefficient Score: The survey instrument achieved a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.89, indicating high reliability.

Findings: Organizational justice, characterized by fairness in decision-making, equitable treatment, and transparent policies, significantly enhances employee motivation. Perceived injustice and favoritism were found to demotivate employees.

Recommendation: Legal firms should prioritize fairness and transparency in their policies and decision-making processes to enhance organizational justice, thereby boosting employee motivation and performance.
