Abstract: THE INFLUENCE OF EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ON MOTIVATION

Objective: This study aims to (1) explore the relationship between employee benefits and motivation, (2) identify the most valued employee benefits, and (3) assess the impact of benefits packages on employee satisfaction and retention.

Research Design: A survey design was selected to collect detailed feedback from employees about their perceptions of employee benefits and their impact on motivation.

Sample Size: Utilizing Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 360 employees was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error.

Case Study: The research was conducted in the hospitality sector, where employee benefits play a crucial role in attracting and retaining talent.

Location: Lagos, a major hospitality destination with a diverse workforce.

Reliability Coefficient Score: The survey instrument achieved a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.88, indicating high reliability.

Findings: The study found that comprehensive employee benefits packages significantly enhance motivation. Health insurance, retirement plans, and flexible work arrangements were identified as the most valued benefits among employees.

Recommendation: Hospitality organizations should offer competitive employee benefits packages that include health insurance, retirement plans, and flexible work options to attract and retain talent, thereby enhancing motivation and organizational performance.
