Objective: This study aims to (1) examine the relationship between management support and employee motivation, (2) identify key forms of management support that enhance motivation, and (3) assess the long-term impact of management support on employee performance.
Research Design: A survey design was selected to collect comprehensive data from employees regarding their experiences with management support.
Sample Size: Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 360 employees was chosen to ensure a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error.
Case Study: The research was conducted in the IT sector, where management support is critical for innovation and employee performance.
Location: Abuja, a growing tech hub with a dynamic workforce.
Reliability Coefficient Score: The survey instrument achieved a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.88, indicating high reliability.
Findings: The study found that strong management support, characterized by open communication, resource provision, and recognition, significantly
enhances employee motivation. Lack of management support was associated with lower motivation and job satisfaction.
