Abstract: THE IMPACT OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS ON MOTIVATION

Objective: This study aims to (1) investigate the effectiveness of employee engagement programs in enhancing motivation, (2) identify the most impactful engagement activities, and (3) assess the long-term benefits of employee engagement programs on organizational performance.

Research Design: A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from employees about their experiences with engagement programs and its impact on motivation.

Sample Size: Based on Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 350 employees was selected, ensuring robust statistical analysis with a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error.

Case Study: The research was conducted in the IT sector, where employee engagement is crucial for innovation and productivity.

Location: Lagos, a major tech hub with a dynamic workforce.

Reliability Coefficient Score: The survey instrument achieved a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.88, indicating high reliability.

Findings: The study found that well-structured employee engagement programs significantly enhance motivation. Activities such as team-building events, wellness programs, and skill development workshops were identified as the most effective.

Recommendation: IT companies should invest in comprehensive employee engagement programs that include team-building, wellness, and continuous learning opportunities to enhance motivation and productivity.
