ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to examine Knowledge and uptake of adoption among women with infertility (A case study of Jama'are local Government Bauchi state). Specifically, the study aims to find out the sources of knowledge aboutadoption among women with infertility, investigate the level of acceptability of adoption among women with infertility and assess the the perceived barriers of child adoption among women with infertility. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 259 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that The level of acceptability of adoption among women with infertility is low. The study thereby recommend that there is need for health education in re-orientating both the men and women on the major causes of infertility, men are also be responsible most of the time. Health workers needs to be trained on the how to provide an aption of adoption to couples.
