ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to examine Effects of increase in tuition fees on business education student enrolment in college of education (A case study of Federal college of education and technology Bichi). Specifically, the study aims to find out the reason for the increment in tuition fee in Federal college of education and technology Bichi, find out the extent to which increase in tuition fee has impacted on students enrollment in business education in Federal college of education and technology Bichi and analyse the effects of increase in tuition fees on students of business education in Federal college of education and technology Bichi. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 141 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that The extent to which increase in tuition fee has impacted on students enrollment in business education in Federal college of education and technology Bichi is high. The study thereby recommend that from the foregoing, there should be proper funding by the federal government to support increase in enrolments of students in business education and improve educational quality in Nigerian college of educations. Moreover, the UNESCO suggested quota of 26% of the total budget to education must be strictly adhered to. Educational planners and administrators of college of educations should be careful of arbitrary increase in the tuition, as this may adversely affect students' enrolment.
